Run the season, not the group chat.

Set up the season once — practice days, time, first and last date, the fee — and Mela lays out every session. Parents tap Coming or Can’t on each one, you take attendance after, tick who has paid, and remind everyone who hasn’t with one tap. Built for Little League, soccer, cricket, swim and any club with a coach and a roster.

Know Saturday’s headcount by Wednesday

Every practice and every game in the season is its own row. Parents answer per date, so you see “9 coming · 2 can’t” days ahead instead of counting thumbs-up emojis the night before.

A thin session gets moved with one tap — pick the new day and time, and everyone enrolled is notified. Cancelling works the same way.

Dues, without the spreadsheet

Set the fee per season, per month or per session and add your Venmo handle. Parents pay in a tap and tell you; you confirm. The team page shows signed up, paid and collected at a glance.

Anyone still owing gets a reminder when you tap Remind — once a day at most, only to the people who haven’t paid, so nobody is nagged twice.

Attendance that adds up

After each session, tick who was there. Parents see “attended 11 of 14” on their side; you see it for the whole roster. A parent with two kids on the team enrolls each one and answers for each.

Everything else a team needs

What Mela is not

It does not keep score, lineups or league tables. Post the result as an announcement; a scorebook is a different app. Mela is the coach’s admin: who is coming, who came, who paid.

Questions

Do parents need the app to say they are coming?

Parents who enroll use the free iPhone app. Anyone without it can still get announcements and event links by email or from their personal web link.

Can I collect team dues through Mela?

Mela does not process payments. You add your Venmo handle; parents pay you directly and mark it, you confirm, and Mela keeps the paid vs. unpaid record and sends reminders.

What happens if I change the practice days mid-season?

Future sessions are regenerated from the new schedule. Past sessions and their attendance are never touched.

Can one parent enroll two children?

Yes. Each child is an enrollment with their own attendance and payment record.

Is Mela free for teams?

Yes. No subscription and no per-member fee. No ads on invitations or reply pages; a community may choose to show approved sponsored listings from local businesses.
