Set the days, the time, the first and last class and the fee. Mela lays out every class in the term. Students (or their parents) tap Coming or Can’t on each one, you take attendance and tick payment class by class or per term, and a class that’s going to be half empty moves with one tap — everyone enrolled is told.

The term as a class list

Instead of one “Saturdays at 10” line, you get every date. Each class carries its own headcount, its own attendance and, for a per-class fee, its own paid tick. Students see “attended 6 of 8 · 6 paid” on their side.

Payments the way studios actually collect

Per class, per month or per term — your choice per program. Add your Venmo handle and students pay in a tap and tell you; you confirm, and they’re notified. Tap Remind and everyone still owing hears about it, once a day at most.

Recitals and showcases

The recital is an event: families RSVP from a link with no account, claim what to bring, and see the location with a map. Photos afterwards go to the album.

Questions

Can I charge per class instead of per term?

Yes. Set the fee per class, per month or per term. Per-class payments are ticked off in the attendance sheet for each class.

What if I need to move a class?

Tap Reschedule on that class, pick the new date and time, and everyone enrolled is notified. Cancel works the same way.

Do students need the app?

Students who enroll and answer per class use the free iPhone app. Announcements and event links also reach anyone by web link.

Does Mela take a cut of fees?

No. Payments go directly to you (Venmo or however you collect); Mela keeps the record and sends reminders.

Can I run several classes?

Yes — one program per class or level, each with its own term, roster and fee.
